Personal Accounts - Homeward Bound: Out-of-Body ADCs

Nora is a 44-year-old homemaker who lives near Orlando, Florida. She had this OBE ADC with her mother, who died of heart disease at age 72:

My mother died in June, and I went on vacation to Sanibel Island in August. I was lying in bed, when all of a sudden I felt something come over me.

I rose up out of my body! It was a very, very strange feeling. I could see my body lying on the bed, and then, just as quickly, I was standing in the kitchen back in my house.

I was thinking, “What am I doing here?” when I heard a voice say, “Hello, Nora.” I turned around, and there stood my mother! I couldn’t believe it! I was so shocked when I saw her, I just said, “Mom!”

She looked so beautiful. Her face was glowing and there was light around her. She appeared to be fifty years old and was the happiest I’d ever seen anybody look.

My mother took my hand, and we walked out of the kitchen. When we got to the front door, she patted my hand and said, “I came to say good-bye. I love you, and I will always watch over you and your children.” Mom radiated the most wonderful, angelic smile as she said this. Then she was gone.

I was standing there alone, but within seconds I felt myself lowering down into my body, back on the bed at Sanibel Island. I lay there wide awake and felt so secure and protected, like when I was a child.

There is no doubt in my mind this really happened to me. It proved to me there is life after death, and it showed me that I don’t need to fear death.

Ron is a 46-year-old real estate broker in California. He had this cosmic experience a year after his sister, Bobbie, died at age 53 of complications that occurred during a hospitalization:

Prior to my bedding down for the night, I was in a prone position and was resting in a semi-meditational state. Suddenly, I felt the presence of my sister, Bobbie.

She flew down to my being and grabbed my right hand. I could feel her touch – she was real! Bobbie was wearing a white gown made of a light, flowing, gossamer material. She was much younger and physically in perfect condition.

My sister was the happiest I had ever seen her, smiling and laughing the entire time. She had real bright, sparkly eyes and was very content. Bobbie said to me telepathically, “Let’s go and have some fun, Ron!” And I said, “Okay.”

So my sister and I suddenly burst out into space. It was quite an exhilarating experience! I could see stars and planets and all kinds of stellar constellations going by. Everything was very vivid, very intense, and very bright.

I didn’t look back, although I felt a bright light surrounding and trailing behind us like a jet stream. As we went faster and faster, Bobbie turned around and said, “Isn’t this a wonderful experience!” I said, “Yes, let’s do some more!” We both laughed and continued our ascent straight up. I’m sure we were traveling at light speed or even faster.

Then I began thinking, “Now, hold it! Where are you taking me? How far am I going? How am I going to get back to planet Earth?” Bobbie felt my fear and resistance, and within moments I was back on earth and in the same prone position on my bed.

I was still tingling, and my whole being was totally energized. I opened my eyes and said, “Wow!”
