After-Death Communication (ADC) Experiences
Personal Accounts - Sensing a Presence: Sentient ADCs
Jeffrey, age 36, is a teacher and freelance writer in California. His
grandmother contacted him just a few hours after she died of congestive
heart failure:
I was sitting in my living room looking at a picture that was always
my grandmother’s favorite. It’s The Good Shepherd, where Jesus is
holding a lamb.
Suddenly, there was a real feeling of softness – an extreme feeling
of peace that was unexplainable. I felt my grandmother was in the room.
It was a very natural, warm feeling that she was present.
I could feel her spirit, as if she was reassuring me that she was
happy and at peace. It was almost like she was saying good-bye one last
time before going on.
This lasted about twenty minutes and then the peace gently faded. It
was a comfort and reassurance that Grandma was okay.

Eleanor is a psychotherapist in Washington, D.C. She had a series of
visits from her father after he died of a heart attack when she was a
senior in high school:
My father was a very kind, sensitive, and intelligent man. I loved
him very much. But he suffered a lot of pain in his life.
For some years after he passed away, I would become aware of his
presence. I felt the depth of his presence, the whole sense of him. It
was the feeling of the way he was when he was alive and well. The
feeling of him was very distinct, very warm, and very supportive.
My father was encouraging me to go on with my life and not to be
upset with his death.
