Convergence Coalition - Organization

The Convergence Coalition is dedicated to exploring ways in which religion, spirituality and science can learn from one another. Religion, spirituality and science offer their own unique insights which can and guide one another in a mutually beneficial fashion. Science can offer religion and spirituality valid information from rigorous studies of human consciousness and spiritually transformative experiences, as well as the nature of reality as seen through the lens of quantum physics. This could inspire some religions to revise theologies to be more consistent with accepted scientific knowledge. Conversely, religion and spirituality can offer science the benefit of ancient wisdom and insight contained within the time-tested cornerstone pillars of its core teachings, which can help shape and direct future research efforts. By working together in this manner, the commonly shared quest for discovery of valid universal truth which can be equally embraced or accepted by all would be significantly enhanced.

The Convergence Coalition may form various standing committee and task forces, eventually perhaps one for each of the major religions of the world. Each committee will be comprised of highly intelligent, progressive, forward thinking representatives of any given religion. The charge of each committee is to find common ground where points of convergent agreement exist with other religions and with spirituality and science too. These convergent points of agreement will serve as the bedrock for construction of cooperative and collaborative efforts to build harmony, cohesion, synergy and resonance among disparate competing religions and science, as well as spirituality. Each committee will formulate specific strategies to find the common ground on which many divergent interests can meet to discover convergence and to concertedly explore the mutual benefits it can provide to all concerned and to humanity as a whole.
