When a Loved One Dies: 7 Things to Remember

This online interactive class is designed for those who are grieving or have troubling questions about a "deceased" love one - person or pet. It will be a one hour seminar plus an additional hour for questions and sharing. There will be two sessions scheduled for this class; each will be limited to the first 25 registrants so please register soon if you are interested. The registration instructions are listed below.

Registration instructions

Note: To participate in this online event your device (Desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone) must have a video camera, speaker and microphone, an Internet connection and the appropriate software. In most modern devices this equipment is usually built into it. For all devices the only software needed is a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and ZOOM software.

Before the event:

  1. Download the Video Conferencing Software Zoom at: Download Zoom. After the software has been downloaded (download time varies depending on your connection speed), Zoom should install automatically and open in a popup window. Close it and proceed to step 2.

    Zoom can be installed manually if it did not install automatically. The software you downloaded should be located in your "Downloads" folder.

  2. Click on either of the following links to pre-register for the course. After clicking on one of these links your preferred browser will open. (Please do this at least one day prior to the event):

    When a Loved One Dies -Wednesday June 22 at 7:00 PM MDT (repeat)

  3. Please click the red button "Sign in to RSVP and Participate"
  4. You will be prompted to sign in by creating a user account if you have not already done so. At the conclusion of the sign in process click the blue "Join" button. Please be sure to save the UserID and Password you used to register. You will need it on the date / time of the actual event.
  5. After clicking on the "Join" button, click on the red button "$10 Event Button" and enter your billing information as requested.
  6. After you have entered yor billing information, an "Event" screen will open. Click on the red "Participate Now" button. At this point you have now completed the pre-registration process. Close your web browser window. Please return to this page (below) on the day of the event follow the instructions below.

On the day of the event (at least 15 minutes in advance of the event start time):

  1. Click on one of the appropriate links to join the event that you registered for:

  2. Sign in with the same information you provided when you registered with in step 4 above
  3. Click on the red "Participate Now" button
  4. Click on the red button "Join Live Audio or Video" button. A dialog box will pop up. Next click on "Launch Application" button. You should now see your picture in the Zoom window. You will see another popup window with a green button labeled "Join Audio by computer". Click on that button so you can participate in the event.
  5. As soon as the conference starts - you will see your host - Dr. Mark Pitstick". He will provide you with further instructions at that time.
  6. If you are having trouble logging onto the event, please call 561-637-6553 for assistance.
